How would you describe the new colorless gradient installed at AIA Baltimore?
Ally Lancaster: I would describe the new colorless gradient as subtle yet sophisticated. It has created the privacy barrier we needed to feel like there was a clear, defined meeting area within the larger office space. It blends into the background so well that it just becomes part of the space without being obtrusive. It has elevated the design of the space as to add a functional yet aesthetically pleasing layer to an otherwise blank glass box.
How was your experience working with Decorative Films on this project?
Ally Lancaster: My experience with working with Decorative Films has been excellent. Courtney as the main point of contact has been friendly, flexible, and cooperative with all of our various needs. She helped problem-solve and offered many options that could work for our space. The installer, Paul, was personable, and the install process was quick and easy!
Briefly explain the initial privacy concerns; why do you think film was a good solution for the space?
Ally Lancaster: The initial privacy concern with that glass conference meeting area space was due to the fact that people were able to see into that space from not only the street level but also the larger gathering area. We needed a solution that would create a seamless barrier between the spaces and would allow for more comfortable use of that space.
What outcomes do you expect from having film installed in this space?
Ally Lancaster: We expect that those who are conducting meetings in the space will feel more comfortable, less "on display," and able to continue to be productive without any outside distractions from others within the co-working space or from the urban environment around.
How does the film impact the overall look and functionality of the space?
Ally Lancaster: The film has a positive impact on the overall look of the space as it provides the necessary privacy element while also creating a pleasing design on the glass. The functionality has been enhanced due to having this film in the space as now it has allowed for more opportunities to utilize the space simultaneously with the larger area while also creating a more professional setting for the space.
What sets this product apart from others you've seen on the market?
Ally Lancaster: I have not seen that many others on the market yet; however, I think the variety of products that I saw and the customization options were impressive. Additionally, the customer service, attention to detail, and thoroughness of providing an appropriate solution for the space was stellar!
